Yoga means to join, unite, or yoke in Sanskrit. In yoga, Atma connects to Paramatma, the universal soul. Yoga is a process, not a destination, where the microcosmic union continues. Atoms form molecules, which form cells, which form organs, which form the body. Through this never-ending union, consciousness manifests on many levels and in many ways.
1. Body's Physical consciousness
2. Mental consciousness.
3. Emotional awareness
4. Existential or integral soul consciousness
5. God's consciousness is universal.
Beyond the universe is non-dual Braham or Nirvana.
The soul or Atma unites with Purusha or Paramatma at the summit of yoga, but the process begins in our bodies, feelings, and ideas. Human connections reflect globalization. We may not even be aware of daily yoga moments. We're all yogis and yoginis, but we must practice yoga. Yoga is when a scientist or poet combines emotions and ideas to create science or poetry. When two people form a loving, peaceful relationship, yoga is sown and may lead to a cosmic union. Yoga includes living in harmony between cultures or nations.
Yoga helps us see through division and separation. Non-dual options include Braham or truth. Realizing this frees one from conflict, fear, and suffering, bringing serenity, passion, and happiness.
Yoga is a self-realization process in which smaller, space- and time-bound brains merge to create a limitless, timeless, space-less self. Similar experiences are called Samadhi, Nirvana, Moksha, or Kaivalya.
